Mr. Korey is an experienced commercial litigator who has represented clients in lawsuits dealing with various causes of action.
In addition to litigation and trial practice, Mr. Korey has extensive experience handling collections for various corporate clients. This includes initial demand letters, filing lawsuits, negotiating settlements, litigating these matters to judgment, and post-judgment collection procedures.
Mr. Korey’s corporate clients include numerous nursing homes, healthcare/rehabilitation centers, and supportive living centers, which he counsels and advises in regulatory matters under the Nursing Home Care Act and other applicable state and federal acts, codes and regulations, contesting and settling violations with the Illinois Department of Public Health, involuntary transfer and discharge hearings with the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, defense of employment discrimination actions filed with the EEOC and the Illinois Department of Human Rights, collections, and various corporate matters.
Mr. Korey also represents several temporary labor service agencies which he counsels and advises in regulatory matters under the Illinois Day and Temporary Labor Services Act, and other applicable state and federal acts, codes and regulations, defense of discrimination actions filed with the EEOC and the Illinois Department of Human Rights, collections, defense of workers’ compensation claims, and various corporate matters.
Mr. Korey’s pro bono efforts include representation of several Not For Profit Companies, including membership on the Board of Directors.
