A-Frame signs are an extremely popular way for local restaurants and merchants to drive traffic into their establishments. However, in Chicago, these signs are illegal and using them can subject Chicago business owners to fines.

Ordinance 2018-5092 was introduced on June 27th by Alderman Scott Waguespack (32nd Ward), to legalize sandwich board and A-Frame signs in Chicago. This measure already has garnered strong support from City Hall, securing 28 sponsors.
