SBAC Proud to Partner with A Safe Haven Foundation

A Safe Haven: 2018 5K RUNI! To End Homelessness &emdash;

The SBAC is proud to work with A Safe Haven Foundation to advance important legislation for our community. Most recently, we partnered on efforts to secure the passage of HB5868. This bill allows health insurance companies to cover state licensed community-based behavioral health care options, including residential recovery homes, to treat substance abuse disorder.

SBAC Founder & President, Elliot Richardson, accepted an award on behalf of the organization at the Safe Haven 5K last weekend. Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti and State Rep. La Shawn K. Ford were also in attendance. We look forward to future opportunities to work together on legislative initiatives.
