Geoffrey Kasselman of Op2mize gives Crain’s some pointers on how to keep track of your businesses numbers in the article “An Accounting Tool Kit For Even The Most Numbers-averse Entrepreneur”. Kasselman got a crash course in accounting in 2007 when the financial responsibility landed in his lap. Taking a dive into the accounting aspect of his business Kasselman realized the great importance of keeping up with your numbers.

Kassleman urges small business owners to take time and put some attention to the accounting aspect to fully understand where your business stands. Kassleman stated that “I began to understand how much money I was making, how much I was spending. I began to understand my business in whole new ways”.
