Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Invites SBAC Member’s to it’s Sixth Annual Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament


On Friday, January 27, 2012, the Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section is hosting its Sixth Annual Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament to Benefit the Chicago Bar Foundation. The tournament will take place at the Standard Club in downtown Chicago. All proceeds from the event will benefit the CBF, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which provides funding for legal services to the neediest members of our community.

There will be great prizes awarded to those who make it to the final table, including airline tickets, a Florida vacation package, Cubs/Sox/Hawks/Bulls tickets, a Medinah golf outing, and top Chicago restaurant gift certificates, among others. The event includes a buffet dinner and open bar.

$175 per person thereafter

5:15-5:45 p.m. – Refresher Course (The dealers will TEACH you how to play poker! This is a charity tournament, so please do not be intimidated if you do not know the rules of poker!)
6:00 p.m. – Play Begins
