SBAC lobbyist Dan Johnson-Weinberger testified before the House-Senate Revenue Committees on July 19th, 2011 as part of the business community panel.
SBAC called for shifting business tax credits away from
negotiated case-by-case packages that big businesses tend to get to retain jobs (such as Motorola, Boeing and Ford) and towards general, universal credits that small and mid-sized companies can get by filling out their tax returns.
Since two-thirds of all new new jobs are generated by small and mid-sized businesses, the SBAC called for tax credits to focus on job growth for all businesses.
