The SBAC is happy to welcome new member Bob Fisch and Spectra Merchandising International Inc. Spectra and their Asia subsidiary, IMA-Hong Kong, LTD., have been an integral part of the consumer electronics business for the past 40 years. Spectra has supplied products to every major retailer in the United States, as well as conducting business on every continent in the world. In addition to retailers, Spectra has been successful in the premium, direct mail and online channels of the industry.
Spectra Merchandising International has been a leading provider of fun, contemporary and affordable consumer electronics products, computer accessories and small household appliances. Spectra has been producing JENSEN brand audio and video products since 1998 and is one of the industry leaders in Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad Docking Systems. In fact, their JiPS-250i was the first iPad Docking Station on the market. In 2002, Spectra formed a strategic partnership with Marino Andriani, LLC. to provide Hello Kitty brand electronics and household products. Starting in 2011, this partnership has expanded with new offerings from Paul Frank through another strategic partnership with Brands Unlimited, Spectra now offers a line of M&M’s and Discovery Expedition products.
Spectra solely owns their custom-built Chicago-based, USA operation, which includes their corporate offices as well as a 70,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility. Each year Spectra ships more than 100,000 pieces of product to individual consumers for retailers such as Target, Toys R Us, Kohl’s, JC Penney, Sears, Kmart, and many others.
