Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women’s Network Honors Lilly Ledbetter

SBAC members are invited to join The Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women’s Network luncheon event that will be honoring Lily Ledbetter.

Lily Ledbetter has played a vital role in workplace equality rights and continues to be an activist. She is also namesake of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, the first bill signed into law by President Barack Obama, and 2011 inductee into the National Women’s Hall of Fame. The Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women’s Network is proud to honor history maker and workplace rights activist Ms. Ledbetter as she shares the story of her brave fight for fair pay justice.

The event will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 with a Luncheon & VIP Reception at the Renaissance Blackstone Hotel 636 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago.
