Have you registered for next week's Liquidity Forecasting and Management workshop yet?

The Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association is inviting us to attend their October 9th workshop entitled, “Liquidity Forecasting and Management: Does Your 13-week Cash Flow?”

As a small business owner we know the importance of having a steady cash flow to pay ills, make payroll and more. This hands-on workshop will teach you the value of conducting a 13-week cash flow analysis for your own business. Workshop facilitators will take participants through the theory and practice of developing a 13-week cash flow model for a business. Attendees will learn how to obtain key information from management and negotiate with lenders, key vendors, employee representatives (i.e., unions) and others on the near-term use of cash and credit. The session will discuss specific tactics and tools available to preserve liquidity and keep an ailing business alive and moving toward a sales or restructuring. Participants will also work with an existing model to develop a hypothetical 13-week cash flow based on parameters provided by the workshop leaders. Following the hands-on workshop, participants will hear from a panel of experts on the adoption, approval, and periodic misadventures of 13-week cash flows in the real world (i.e., bankruptcy court).

And if that is not enough, following the close of business, get together with fellow participants, workshop leaders, and panelists for drinks and hors d’oeuvres on the roof at The Plymouth Bar, located just down the street from The Standard Club.
