I, as well as many of you, spend a substantial amount of time networking. Whether it’s at a chamber event, a networking group meeting or an industry association event, we have the opportunity to meet many professionals, collect business cards and add them to our contact database. Over time, that database can become quite large, with hundreds or even thousands of contacts.
From time to time, we’ll receive an inquiry regarding a given service and/or product and, in many instances, we’ll have one or more referrals to give. As I thought about this situation, I wanted to be more proactive in reaching out to my contacts and encouraging them to contact me for referrals that they are seeking. Being that I receive virtually all of my business by way of referral, for which I am very grateful, I wanted to reciprocate.
After considering various functional issues, I’m pleased to introduce the Referral Resource Center. With this resource, you’ll be able to easily contact me and describe your needs as to a referral. I’ll then review my data base for one or more referrals that would appear to be a good fit. I will then make an introduction amongst the parties. Subsequently, the parties can communicate and/or meet to further discuss needs and services.
My hope is that you will consider the Referral Resource Center as your first stop in identifying the qualified professional you are seeking. Although numerous categories are listed, new categories will be added from time to time. As I continue my networking activities, I meet professionals with a wide variety of expertise and experience. If they can add value in your business or that of your clients and prospects, I intend to add them to the list.
The Referral Resource Center will be available on my website, linked from future E-Bulletins and sent out in separate emails as service categories are updated.
