Fundraiser for tutor/mentoring – Lifting to Lend-A-Hand VIII

From: Sat, 08/14/2010 - 08:00 am to Sat, 08/14/2010 - 06:00 pm
Location: Burr Ridge

My name is Dan Cotter, I am an SBAC member and a lawyer. Each year I lift and rasie funds for Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth. The organization’s overall goal is to support one-on-one tutor/mentor programs that serve young people in disadvantaged Chicago area communities and that provide those youth with the guidance and support they need to both succeed in school and reach their full potential as independent, productive adults.
It is that time of year again- on Saturday, August 14, I will be lifting in the APF/AAPF Summer Bash and raising money for Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth. I am hoping I can count on your generosity. This year, as an added incentive, we are offering special recognition to those giving above $500 – tickets to the Make A Difference luncheon and recognition on a tshirt I will wear on day of meet. My goal this year is $35,000 and I am hoping you can help!

You can support by flat amount or by the pound. This year, my goal is to be in the high 1500’s total. (by way of example, if you pledged $.10 per lb, and I lifted 1500 lbs, you would owe $150). Please let me know if you will support me again, my 8th time. You can let me know by email or, or by visiting the Lend-A-Hand site and making an online donation, at Any amount is fantastic and goes to help the youth! In these times of extremely tight school budgets, all amounts help to ensure that our youth are prepared for success in life.

Thank you for your consideration!
