Ald. Ervin to Sponsor Conference to Promote Small Business Growth U.S. Small Business Adminstation and Small Business Advocacy Council to Co-Sponsor “Our Small Business Event”

CHICAGO (June 14) – Chicago Alderman of the 28th Ward, Jason C. Ervin, will sponsor Our Small Business Event to help provide the 28th Ward community with the tools to create their own opportunities and for those with small businesses to expand and create new industry. Alderman Ervin is partnering with the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Small Business Advocacy Council to achieve these efforts.

“Small business owners and non-profits need our help and support. Our Small Business Event aims to provide the necessary support to grow and create new jobs, new industries and a strong economy,” states Alderman Jason C. Ervin. “By partnering with the Small Business Advocacy Council and the U.S. Small Business Administration, we can help give people the tools they need to turn the City of Chicago and the 28th Ward into the next economic engine in this country. Small business growth in our city and our community is the key to creating a stronger future for our City.”

Our Small Business Event is not only for small businesses which are already operating, but for potential entrepreneurs and start-up non-profits. Building a stable community starts with creating a strong foundation for residents to create their own business and non-profits. This government has an obligation to provide the tools to residents to create that foundation. The topics covered in Our Small Business Event will include supporting a start-up business, licensing and funding for non-profits and financing for business expansion.
