A thought leader is a person who is recognized for innovative ideas and demonstrates the confidence to promote or share those ideas as actionable distilled insights.

A Latino thought leader is personified by Moises “Moe” Vela, Jr. Mr. Vela was the first Hispanic in the U.S. to serve twice in the White House in a senior executive role.

During the Clinton Administration, Mr. Vela served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Advisor on Latino Affairs in the Office of Vice President Al Gore. Mr. Vela served in the Obama Administration as Director of Management & Administration in the Office of Vice President Biden.

In a statement, Vice President Biden hailed the choice, saying, “I’m grateful to have Moe Vela, a man with experience in White House management and broad outreach skills on my team.”

In 2010, Mr. Vela was named
