Erica Crohn Minchella 

minchellaErica Crohn Minchella has practiced law for almost 30 years. Her practice and her passion have been in representing people and businesses who are facing financial challenges.  With a practice focused in real estate law and bankruptcy, advocacy for small business owners who pledge their real estate for business loans and put their personal finances into their businesss, is a natural extension of her practice.  In addition, she is married to a small business owner and has run her own law practice and other businesses throughout her legal career.  Erica is an active member of the Rotary Club of Chicago-Far North, founded the Association of Foreclosure Defense Attorneys, is Executive Vice President of the Skokie Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the Boards of the Small Business Advocacy Council and North Suburban Bar Association.  Erica received her J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago.


Charles Krugel

krugelAs a management side labor & employment attorney & human resources (HR) counselor, Charles Krugel,, has 16 years of experience in the field & has been running his own practice for 10 years. His clients are small to medium sized companies in a variety of industries. In addition to providing traditional labor & employment law services, he represents companies desiring to institute preventive & proactive HR functions. These functions include policies & procedures, which help to efficiently & discreetly resolve issues in-house & prevent lawsuits & complaints; they also help to reduce costs & act as catalysts for increasing productivity & profits.

Charles earned his law degree (Juris Doctorate) from Ohio Northern University. His MA degree in I/O psychology is from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His Bachelors degree in psychology is from Bradley University. During law & graduate schools, he was a graduate student representative for each school’s university senate. During college, he was a rush chairman & executive board member for his fraternity.

Relative to civic & association involvement, Charles is on the following boards of directors: Board Chair for the YMCA Alliance, the welfare-to-work & jobs training branch of the YMCA’s of Chicago; Board Vice Chair & Chair of the Government Affairs Team for the Greater O’Hare Association, one of Chicago’s largest business associations; the Young Professionals Board of the Chicago Bar Foundation; ChildServ, a 115 year old orphanage, adoption & family services agency in Chicago; Lakeside Community Committee, a 35-plus year old family advocacy & services organization in Chicago; Youth Outreach Services, a 50-plus year old teen & youth advocacy, education, counseling & group homes organization in Chicago; & the SBAC.
