SBAC Crowdfunding Panel Oct. 27th

SBAC is proud to present a panel of experts exploring the opportunities and future of crowdfunding (rewards and equity based) and its impact on small business and entrepreneurship in Illinois.

Access to capital remains a huge challenge for small businesses and entrepreneurs in Illinois. For existing small businesses, crowdfunding can fill the capital gap created by traditional lending. Similarly, for entrepreneurs, crowdfunding provides a viable source (an in many instance the ONLY viable source) of start-up capital.

You will also learn about newly passed intrastate equity crowdfunding legislation, which allows Illinois businesses to raise capital from Illinois residents for a small equity interest in the enterprise.
