Talking Points 6/15

Dear Advocates,

We look forward to another great week in the world of
advocacy. Communication is key to relaying our message to our membership. We
send out a number of newsletters a month to each chapter, community and for
advocacy updates. Let us know if you would like to be added to one of chapter
or community newsletter by email admin@sbacil.org.

Events to Engage In

Thursday our Young Professionals Group is hosting karaoke/networking
happy hour at Trader Todd’s just north of downtown Chicago. Whether you are
young or professional or a little bit of both feel free to join us for a fun
mix of song and networking.

Next Tuesday, on June 23rd, the Edgewater Chamber
of Commerce and SBAC has teamed up to bring you Edgewater Pitch Fest. Join us
to see four of Chicago’s young entrepreneurs pitch their companies. The
audience can live tweet questions and will vote to help select a winner. Don’t
miss out on your chance to see some of Chicago’s rising stars.

both the House & Senate unanimously! The Governor will has 60 days to sign
the bill into law from its initial passing. If the Governor does not sign the
bill in that 60 days it automatically
