SBAC Young Professionals Group

We bring together Chicago’s young professionals to build relationships and connect with the small business community.

Recognizing that…

  • Young professionals are strong supporters of small and local businesses.
  • Many are early-stage entrepreneurs or exploring new ventures.
  • Many want meaningful ways to engage locally, without the partisan noise.

The SBAC is launching a Young Professionals Group on

April 30th.

Who This Is For

The SBAC Young Professionals Group is designed for early-career professionals and entrepreneurs across industries who are interested in building connections and engaging with Chicago’s civic community.

What You’ll Get

  • A growing network of peers across industries and career paths
  • Opportunities to meet potential collaborators, clients, and business partners
  • Access to established business owners and civic leaders
  • A community where you can build relationships—not just exchange business cards

What We Do

The SBAC YPG will host monthly events focused on both networking and advocacy.

Networking Events

Our networking events are casual, activity-based mixers designed to create an environment where young professionals can connect naturally and build lasting relationships.

Advocacy Events

We also plan to host advocacy-focused events such as fireside chats with legislators and civic leaders. These events are opportunities to engage directly with decision-makers and build an understanding of the policies that shape Chicago’s small business environment.

Making Connections That Last

Relationships take time to build. By bringing together the same community of young professionals each month, the SBAC YPG will help members move beyond introductions and build relationships that can lead to real opportunities. Over time, members will also get to know Chicago’s civic leaders, giving them a voice in the conversations shaping the small business community.
