The SBAC is excited to share news about our efforts to advance policies that support small and local businesses and exciting updates about the organization.
Advocacy
The SBAC is addressing an array of advocacy issues, but will focus on our robust agenda to make health insurance more affordable for small businesses.
One thing the SBAC is working on in Springfield is legislation that will provide small businesses that cannot afford to provide health insurance tax credits for Health Reimbursement Arrangements.
- This will allow small businesses the opportunity to provide a set amount of money to employees to purchase health insurance and receive tax credits for the first two years.
- Our entire agenda is on our website. www.sbacil.org
We have also secured 35 sponsors in the House on the Small Business Job Creation Tax Credit. This will reinstate a popular program that provides small businesses with a $2500 tax credit for creating a net new job.
