Membership Policies

Guest Policy

Guests are encouraged to attend SBAC events to meet our members and learn more about the organization before joining. As networking events are part of SBAC member benefits, guests may attend two SBAC events before joining.

Membership by Organization

Organizational membership represents a company. This entitles all employees of the company to attend events and take advantage of member benefits. Certain restrictions apply which are outlined below (‘Branches, Franchises and Independent Contractors’).

Branches, Franchises and Independent Contractors

Separate memberships are required for separate company branches or franchises. Additionally, all independent contractors must obtain a separate membership.

One Membership, One Company

While members may work for or own more than one company, each membership represents one company. Every member gets one business directory page created on the SBAC website. Any member who wishes to have additional business directory pages created and to speak about two or more businesses during networking events, is required to obtain an additional membership for each additional companies he represents.

Non-Profit Membership Rates

The SBAC offers a special reduced annual rate for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.

Committee & Community Involvement

In order to serve or participate on any of the SBAC’s Boards, Committees or Communities, the company’s membership must be in good-standing. If this is not the case the member will be asked to forfeit their position and/or volunteer role until they are able to re-instate their membership.

Membership Payments

The SBAC offers an online membership dues payment system which members can pay annually. We also offer monthly, and quarterly payment plans that include a premium. Due to the required administrative work to process checks, payments by check are only accepted for annual payments, sponsorships and donations.

Event Cancellations

Cancellations for pre-paid events must be received forty-eight hours in advance for reimbursement or credit for future event.

Marketing Material

Please note that we often take pictures at our events. By attending these events, you are giving us permission to use these photos for marketing purposes.
